Šta sa zlim blogerom?


Knjiga One Fifth Avenue ne bi imala razloga da se pojavi na blogu o (novim i starim) medijima, da nije jednog zlog blogera, koji bar jednoj od ličnosti u romanu pravi problem.
Dakle, jedna od žena, urednica online izdanja jednih njujorških novina, žali se drugoj, staroj trač kolumnistkinji, da joj zli bloger, pišući o njoj i njenom mužu (na nekom blog trač portalu tipa Gawker), zagorčava život.
Osamdesetogodišnja trač kolumnistkinja ima rešenje. Jer, mediji se menjaju, ali igre moći ostaju. Ona savetuje:

"Hire him", Enid repeated. "He must be a hard worker if he puts so much effort into writing about One Fifth. He's at least halfway intelligent - I'm assuming he knows how to form a sentence, otherwise you wouldn't be so angry. Pay him a decent salary and work him hard. That way he won't have enough time to write anything on the side. But don't pay him so much that he can save up money to quit. Give him insurance and benefits. Turn him into a corporate drone, and you'll never have to worry about him again."

Kod nas bi ovaj recept bio teško primenljiv, pošto je decent salary u novinama je retka pojava.
O profilu trač/Gawker blogera pisala sam pre dve godine. Ukratko: Oni spadaju u creative underclass, pa ni sav rage ne čudi.
